Rhinoplasty Surgery Overview: Also called nose reshaping – Rhinoplasty serves two purposes: functional to correct a breathing problem, or cosmetic to enhance the appearance. “Open” rhinoplasty surgery is used mainly to correct a nose that is deviated or twisted, to correct previously performed surgeries, for nose tips that are uneven from side to side and for noses that require drastic corrective measures. “Closed” rhinoplasty surgery allows us to achieve excellent results in most nose surgeries. By manipulating the cartilage and bone structure, Dr. Abramson can achieve safe, reliable results in removing a bump on the nose, refining the nasal tip, and improving the nose to face relationship. Rhinoplasty can be – and is most often combined with other facial rejuvenation procedures such as chin augmentation – to achieve total facial harmony and balance.
